Description
The SE 656 Memosens toroidal conductivity sensor is ideal for measurements in corrosive liquids with suspended solids and high conductivities. It is available in both Memosens and analog versions. The sensor has a measuring range of 0.001 … 2,000 mS/cm.
This corrosion-resistant sensor is constructed of PFA in a smooth, easy-to-clean design and comes with an integrated 3m cable. PFA is the preferred material when extended service is required in hostile environments involving chemical, thermal, and mechanical stress. PFA offers stability at high processing temperatures, excellent crack and stress resistance, and a low friction coefficient.
The SE 656 is highly accurate and has a low risk of contamination because of a large sensor opening. It is suitable for hazardous locations and carries ATEX II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4/T6 approval.
The robust sensor design and construction, along with the integration of Memosens technology, provide for enhanced performance and a significant reduction in maintenance. The SE 656 is suitable for use with any M4 Knick transmitter and the Portavo 907 and 908 Multi portable meters.

Conductivity with Memosens Technology
Memosens sensors provide several benefits with regard to ease of use and reduction of operating costs:
- Galvanically isolated so there is no measurement influence from noise or ground loops.
- Technicians can perform calibrations and diagnostics in the shop or lab. As a result, this reduces field maintenance time and process downtime.
