Description
The SE 680 Memosens toroidal conductivity sensor has a smooth polished finish and utilizes coaxial electrodes, making the sensor suitable for pharmaceutical and steam-sterilizable applications. The sensor has a measuring range of 0.0002 to 2,000 mS/cm.
This corrosion-resistant sensor is constructed of FDA-approved PEEK in a smooth, easy-to-clean design. PEEK has excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained under high temperatures. It is highly resistant to thermal degradation, as well as attacks in both organic and aqueous environments. This conductivity sensor has a surface finish of <0.4 µm which allows it to meet FDA requirements.
The SE 680 is highly accurate and has a low risk of contamination because of a large sensor opening. It is suitable for hazardous locations and carries cFMus Cl. 1 Div. 1, GP ABCD T3/T4/T6 certification.
In addition, the SE 680 is available with a variety of hygienic process connections:
- Tri-clamp
- Varivent
- Special fittings compatible with immersion and flow-through style holders
The sensor is suitable for any Knick transmitter and Portavo portable meter.
Applications for the SE 680 Toroidal Conductivity Sensor
- Dairy products
- Breweries
- Soft drink manufacturing
- Electroplating
- CIP monitoring
- Pharmaceutical applications
- Monitoring brine concentration
- Alkalis and acids
Conductivity with Memosens Technology
Memosens sensors provide several benefits with regard to ease of use and reduction of operating costs:
- Galvanically isolated so there is no measurement influence from noise or ground loops.
- Technicians can perform calibrations and diagnostics in the shop or lab. As a result, this reduces field maintenance time and process downtime.
