Description

The HPR Valve is a high-pressure reduction valve for boiler sampling lines with inlet pressure up to 350 barg (5,076 pisg). This type of pressure reducer is recommended by ASME-PTC 19.11. The HPR is an adjustable rod-in-tube pressure-reducing element. The valve design is suitable for variable pressure drops and flow control of high-pressure liquid samples. The incoming sample’s pressure reduces because the sample liquid passes through a gap between the valve’s tapered rods and the opening of the rod. Furthermore, this design reduces pressure throughout the entire length of the rods. This principle minimizes wear on wetted parts. This valve is available as part of a sample conditioning panel or as a component for existing panels.

Applications for the HPR Valve

  • Steam and water analysis
  • Boiler water blowdown systems
  • Grab sampling systems
