The Type 40 differential sensor measures pH. The sensor has rugged enamel Glasteel™ construction with an integral temperature sensor. Users can mount the sensor directly into the process, in any orientation, thus sensing the pH directly and without a protective cage. The sensor has insertion depths of up to 10 ft and ATEX approval.
Type 40 provides a low maintenance measurement by removing internal electrolyte solutions and reference junctions/diaphragms. Therefore, the design eliminates typical glass sensor issues such as aging and reference system fouling.
Single point calibration in the process further minimizes maintenance. Operators do not need to remove the sensor for calibration. Additionally, users can leave the sensor dry in an empty pipe or vessel without causing permanent damage to the sensing elements.
The Type 40 is suitable for use with the Protos and Stratos Multi, Pro, and Evo transmitters.
